“I’m losing touch with everyone else / trying to keep in touch with myself.” Love You Later is the solo alt-pop project of artist Lexi Aviles. Her newest release ‘Keepintouch’ is a dreamy sad song; one that is perfect for blasting through your car speakers, and also for shedding tears on those really bad days. At the surface level, the track is upbeat and makes you want to get up and dance like nobody's watching. Once you dive deeper, the lyrics unravel how unpleasant it is to be alone and the process of working towards being content with the silence. It’s important to learn to be alone in order to be fully connected with yourself, and therefore truly connected with others. Keeping in touch with yourself first and foremost will allow you to grow, find peace, and appreciate the art of being alone.
