Izzy Pingrey is a young musician with big dreams, and she will not let anything stop her from chasing her own greatness. Izzy is a 17-year-old singer-songwriter from New York City who writes and produces music with her father and their dog. She began writing at the age of 13, and started producing at the age of 15 mostly in her father’s studio. Izzy utilizes her songwriting as a way to release her frustration and emotions related to being a teenager. However, she aims to create music that is relatable for individuals of all walks of life with main focuses of emotions and personal experiences. Izzy draws inspiration from music of any genre, and enjoys taking bits and pieces from each one to make her own craft. With that being said, her heart lies within indie-pop and 90s rock.
The past few months have been busy for Izzy with several song releases. She spilled her feelings about friendship troubles into her single ‘narcissus’ released in June. She wrote the track for herself, but also for those individuals who often feel invisible and underappreciated. Izzy’s new single ‘flatline’ is out on July 21st, and delivers a more mature songwriting style. “‘flatline’ is a rock song that utilizes death as an analogy for setting free anxieties or reservations about a person and finally letting them in and letting yourself fall in love - because now, the part of me that was so scared of romance for so long is dead," explains Izzy further. The infectious guitar riffs and mysterious vibe keep listeners hooked from start to finish. Izzy is well on her way to making a name for herself in the industry, and inspiring other young individuals to be themselves and pursue their own passions.
