Bonnaroo 2024

Festival Preview by Gabrielle Groves

From June 13th–16th, the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival will take over Manchester, Tennessee. The four-day festival at the Bonnaroo Farm includes craft and food vendors, a variety of activities, and performances from big names in music. Since its start in 2002, Bonnaroo has quickly become a widely known event with individuals from all walks of life traveling to the 700 acre farm for an experience of a lifetime.

This year, the festival features headliners Pretty Lights, Fisher, Post Malone, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Fred Again. There will be additional sets from artists including Melanie Martinez, Megan Thee Stallion, Maggie Rogers, Reneé Rapp, Cage The Elephant, Dominic Fike, Chappell Roan, and so many more. Performances and certain vendors will take place in Centeroo, the area where bigger events will be held. The area around Centeroo is aptly named Outeroo, and is the host of yoga classes, parades, a 5K, and real wedding ceremonies at the House of MatROOmony. There will also be a tram, called JamTrak, available for attendees to navigate around the farm quickly.

In addition to these festivities, Bonnaroo has several fundraising and sustainability efforts taking place during the event. The Bonnaroo Works Fund has raised over 8 million dollars for various artistic, educational, humanitarian, and sustainability-based nonprofits. Some examples are Habitat for Humanity of Rutherford County, The Nashville Food Project, VH1 Save the Music Foundation, Communities In Schools of Tennessee, and more. $1 from each ticket purchased for Bonnaroo goes towards these efforts, and festival goers have the option of donating more if desired. At the festival, there will also be compost and recycling bins, interactive workshops, the Learning Garden, a community dinner, a solar-powered stage, performances from local musicians, and a silent auction of autographed items with proceeds going towards the Bonnaroo Works Fund.

“Bonnaroo is a magical world of music, fun, & friendship..” See you at the farm!
